Competition Guidelines

  1. The contest is open to all Filipino artists from 16 years old and above; open to students, non-professional, and professional artists.
  2. A participant can only submit a single entry to the competition.
  3. Size of the artworks to be submitted must be 30 inches x 40 inches, landscape or horizontal in orientation, must be museum wrapped and ready for hanging. Artworks must be signed and must be an original work which has never been exhibited before or presented in social media.
  4. The artwork should be figurative or representational and should be done in Oil, Acrylic or Mixed Media on Canvas. Abstract works are not allowed.
  5. The artworks should follow the theme “Pag-asa ng Bayan Ko.” Paintings may depict everyday life of Filipinos celebrating unity, positivity, Filipino identity, good values, faith, friendship, environment, empty, progress, victories, success, cooperation, community, education, art, culture, and heritage; or artist’s own narrative of what gives hope to our country.
  6. Participants must express their intent to join the competition by accomplishing the Google Form until 15 November 2025. Only artworks of participants who accomplished the Google Form will be received by the organizers. Kindly click here to access the Google Form.
  7. Entries from far places could also be sent via mail or courier and must be addressed to FAITH Colleges with the address 6/F PDCP Bank Center, Rufino corner Leviste Sts. Salcedo Village, Makati City, Philippines 1227, on or before 05 December 2025, until 5:00 pm.
  8. The venue for the onsite submission of artworks will be in Metro Manila. Venue will be announced.
  9. Kindly put the title, artist name, and medium of artwork, selling price, and artwork statement or narrative on a 5” x 8” white card or index card attached at the back of the artwork/ entry.
  10. Kindly submit an affidavit, a photocopy of valid ID, and proof of age (to those who are 16 years old) together with your entry.
  11. Wet artworks will not be accepted.
  12. Artworks submitted with the wrong size would receive deductions to be decided by the contest committee.
  13. Non-winning artworks can be retrieved on the same day of submission on 06 December 2025 at 7:00 PM at the assigned venue. A Retrieval Form will be given to the participants. The organizers are not responsible for sending the paintings back to the artists.
  14. Entries not retrieved 30 days after the submission are considered abandoned artworks. The organizers earn the right to dispose of the artworks. Retrieval of artworks is at FAITH Colleges with school address #2 Pres. Laurel Highway, Darasa, Tanauan City, Batangas 4232.
  15. While the organizers can facilitate sending back entries received by mail or courier, the courier fee shall be shouldered by the participant. A participant’s non-communication to the organizers pertaining to the sending back of their artwork will consider his/her artwork abandoned.
  16. Addendum to these rules and regulations will be posted before the submission of artworks.

Criteria for Judging

FORM – Composition, lighting, lines, form, color, texture – 30% 

CONTENT– Representation of theme – 30% 

Originality and style – 30%

Overall impact – 10% 

Total: 100 %

Selection of 15 Finalists

  1. Pre-judging will be done on the submission day on 06 December 2025 at 5:00 pm.
  2. The jurors will choose the 15 finalists.
  3. The 15 finalists will be the property of FAITH Colleges.

Awarding of Winners

  1. Winners will be announced after the final judging on 06 February 2026.
  2. The jurors will select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placers and the 10 Jurors’ Prize.

Prizes

The awards and cash prizes are as follows: 

1st prize: Trophy, and Php 100,000 cash 

2nd Prize: Trophy, and Php 60,000 cash 

3rd Prize: Trophy, and Php 40,000 cash 

FAITH Colleges President’s Award: Trophy and Php 20,000 cash

Bintana Museum’s Choice: Trophy and Php 20,000 cash

10 Jurors’ Prize: Medal and Php 15,000 cash each
