Team Azkals Visits FAITH
The Philippine national football team, most popularly known as the Philippine Azkals, visited First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) in Tanauan, Batangas last February 25.
The Azkals attended the Football Festival at Tanauan City High School, sponsored by the I Do Club of Tanauan City and Rotary Club of Tanauan. Headed by the team’s midfielder Emelio “Chieffy” Caligdong, Angel Guirado, Juan Luis Guirado, Misagh Bahadoran, Carlos De Murga and Roel Gener, the Azkals conducted a mini-football clinic with the junior football teams of private and public schools from Batangas and Manila.
After the clinic, the team, together with the officers from the sponsor organizations, proceeded to FAITH for a camaraderie lunch with the school president Saturnino G. Belen, school heads, staff and administrators.
FAITH, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Tanauan is actively promoting football among the youth of Tanauan. FAITH will be conducting a football camp this summer for all interested young football players.
