FAITH, JobsDB conduct Career Quest 2011
First Asia Institute Alumni Organization (FAIAO), together with
First Asia Institute’s (FAI) Office of Career and Placement
Services (OCPS) hosted the First Asia Career Quest 2011 on February
11, 2011. The event was organized in partnership with JobsDB, a
leading provider of online recruitment services in the Asia
Pacific. The Career Quest was part of the celebration of College Week.
As part of the event, JobsDB conducted the career enhancement
seminar for the graduating college students. Ms. Rhia Figarowa,
Assistant Marketing Manager, from JobsDB delivered her talk.
Among the companies that participated in the event were Bangko
Kabayan 'A Rural Bank' Inc., Batangas-Laguna Autocenter, Inc.,
Bayworld Distributions, Inc., Club Balai Isabel Inc., Comworks
Inc., Corporate Executive Search, Inc., De Lasalle-Lipa, DIWA
Learning System Inc., Jollibee Worldwide Services Inc., LIMA Park
Hotel, Littelfuse Phils.. Inc., NOZOMI Fortune Services Inc.,
Procter and Gamble Asia, Progressive Rural Bank, Inc., S.P.
Deloraya Job Contracting & Consultancy Services, Inc., San Miguel
Brewery Inc., SPI Global, Toshiba Information Equipment
Philippines Inc., Teletech- Lipa and First Asia Institute of
Technology and Humanities. Some companies gave initial interviews
and on-site examinations for the graduating students and other
applicants during the event. DIWA Learning Systems Inc. sponsored
the event.
JobsDB also distributed “career cards” to all the registered
participants. The career card serves as storage for the resume in
an electronic database and enables users to apply in JobsDB
organized job fairs without having to bring multiple copies of
resume. In addition, a card allows applicants to have faster job
application and avail discounts and freebies at the same time from
JobsDB partner establishments. FAITH is now part of JobsDB.com
Campus Network (CampNet) where partner educational institutions and
JobsDB work hand in hand to provide fresh graduates and alumni jobs
assistance.
