YOUTH LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE FOR CALABARZON AND MIMAROPA SCHOOLS
First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) will be hosting the 1st Calabarzon-Mimaropa Youth Leaders Learning Adventure (CAMYLLA) on October 27 to 29, 2008. This Student Congress, open to 4th Year High School student leaders presently enrolled in CALABARZON and MIMAROPA schools, will be a venue where students can learn more about responsible citizenship and leadership.
Speakers of the conference include Bam Aquino, former Chairman of the National Youth Commission, TV host and entrepreneur, to talk about Leadership and Heroism for the Youth of Today, Gian Karlo Dapul, winner, English Speaking Union’s International Public Speaking Competition in London to give his views on the topic, The Philippines through the Eyes of a Young Filipino, and Dr. Ma. Judea G. Millora, Founder, Zero Kalat para sa Kaunlaran Foundation, Inc. to talk about present environmental issues and concerns.
Aside from the talks, workshops, community trips, and fun activities have been prepared for the student-delegates. FAITH will also conduct a seminar on Youth Mentoring: Rewards and Challenges for teachers and guidance counselors from the participating schools.
