FAITH Celebrates 8th Foundation Anniversary
First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) celebrates its 8th foundation anniversary on September 8, 2008 with the theme “From Eight to Infinity.” FAITH will have the People’s Republic of China as its feature country for this year’s celebration.
FAITH will be having an exhibit about China: Its People and Culture. The school has also invited the Embassy of China to the Philippines to have a presentation about the country especially on some of China’s programs in the Philippines.
Having a country feature every foundation day celebration has been a tradition of the school since its first year anniversary. Among the countries that have been featured in the previous years are Singapore, Sweden, Korea, Mexico, Spain, Japan, and the ASEAN countries. The activity is also part of the school’s global awareness program.
Aside from the activities featuring China, the students, alumni, faculty, and parents also organized the following major activities:
Tai Chi and Aerobics Mass Exercise. Students, faculty, and parents gather for a fun exercise at FAITH’s Garden Campus. The activity signals the start of the regular conduct of sports and wellness programs in the campus.
The Search for the FAITH Idol. A talent competition for FAITH students and faculty
Rave Battle of the Bands. An annual competition of up-and-coming bands in the region. This year, the popular band, Sponge Cola, will also make its appearance in the much-awaited event.
Parents’ Sportsfest. Organized by parents and teachers of the Unified School, the friendly competition aims to build camaraderie among the FAITH Unified School parents.
Alumni Homecoming. Graduates revisit their Alma Mater to see old friends and conceptualize programs for the benefit of the school, particularly, the varsity team, The Bravehearts.
Yearly activities such as motorcade, picnic lunch, field demonstration, scholars’ assembly, seminars, and fellowship activities will be also held.
