Robotics Gold Medalist Named Top School in ICT
First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) Unified School, the first school in the Philippines to win a gold medal in an international competition in Robotics, was recently named as the Best Private School Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Implementer in Calabarzon. FAITH received the award from DepEd Regional Director Dr. Paraluman Giron during the awarding ceremonies held last June 20 at the FAITH campus in Tanauan City, Batangas.
FAITH was hailed for its modern facilities and equipment. It is also the only school to integrate Robotics in its curriculum. Its ICT program is tailor - made to reinforce and enhance students’ skills in English, Math and Science. Not only does the ICT program complement the expertise of teachers, they also provide avenues for learning beyond the four walls of the classroom. In connection with the thrust to teach technology-based curriculum, the Unified School also provides mastery of MS Windows, MS Office and Interned-based applications to grade six pupils, thus, exposing their young minds to view technology as an effective tool to help them adapt to the changes in our society. Moreover, the High School Department provides training on web development through HTML and Dreamweaver to first year students and Java programming to second year students.
The Genyo Integrated E-Learning Management Program has been added as an interactive tool that provides opportunities for students and teachers to augment what they learn from the textbook. FAITH, in fact, is the first subscriber and user of Genyo in the province of Batangas.
