Increasing city competitiveness and furthering the development of local communities are missions every responsible member of a community must be a part of. These are not the sole functions of entities like local governments and business organizations. They are best addressed through multi-sectoral understanding and cooperation.
These being so, First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH), has been leading the promotion of the development of North Batangas area through its North Batangas Summit.
On January 25, 2008, FAITH in cooperation with Bato Balani Foundation Inc (BBFI), will be holding the 4th North Batangas Summit. This year, the summit will focus on one of the pressing issues in Batangas: Environmental Protection and Management.
The biennial summit is being organized to help spur the growth of the North Batangas area, the next vital component in the development of the Calabarzon growth corridor, taking into consideration proper urban planning which takes into account not only profits but also the people and the planet.
The summit is a fulfillment of FAITH’s mission of "serving the community through relevant extension and outreach programs." North Batangas Summit is part of the school’s CALABARZON Development Forum, which is a community outreach initiative of FAITH.
