The Calabarzon Chess Festival 2007, a much-awaited event among Chess players and enthusiasts all over the country will be held at Tanauan City, and Lipa City, Batangas, from October 12 to 14, 2007. Following is the festival's schedule:
October 12: Day one of the Tanauan Chess Open at Tanauan City and opening of the Invitational Fischer Random Chess Exhibition at SM Lipa City.
October 13: Tanauan Chess Open continuation and Master's Simultaneous Chess Exhibition.
October 14: Calabarzon Scholastic Chess Team Tournament 2007 for High School Chess Teams all over Calabarzon at the First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities campus in Tanauan City, Batangas.
The 1st Calabarzon Chess Festival held at the First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities campus in Tanauan City, Batangas attracted the finest and more prominent players in the country. It is our desire to make this year's Chess Festival bring even more prestige to Calabarzon in the field of sports.
