First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities recently launched the CALABARZON College Scholarship (CCS) Program for school year 2008-2009 during the “A Tribute to Our Partners in Education,” an event attended by DepEd officials and academic heads of private and public schools in CALABARZON.
The CCS program, now on its sixth year, is open to graduating high school students of private and public schools from the CALABARZON region. The selection of scholars is based on a competitive application process. Each school may nominate their top 30 graduating high school students from which the top 20 will qualify to vie for full scholarships.
Scholarships at First Asia Institute are named after the country’s heroes who have roots in CALABARZON. The chosen scholars will enjoy the following:
Jose Rizal Scholarship: includes 100% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees, a stipend of P2,500 per month and a book allowance of P2,000 per semester
Apolinario Mabini Scholarship: includes 100% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees, a stipend of P1,000 per month and a book allowance of P1,000 per semester
Emilio Aguinaldo Scholarship: includes 100% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees
Manuel Quezon Scholarship: includes 100% discount on tuition fee
Aside from the CALABARZON College Scholarship (CCS) program, FAITH also conducts the Search for Academic Excellence (SAE) Scholarship program, simultaneously with the CCS. The second phase of the selection process, which is the interview phase, will be conducted on December 8, 2007. Results of the scholarship selection process will be released on December 12, 2007.
